# From what you know to a record you can share.

Cert-Advance starts with your existing knowledge. Choose an assessment, read its briefing and complete the timed practical tasks. Review your recorded score and explanations, submit the short private beta feedback and request a completion certificate.

## How do I choose and prepare?

Open an assessment detail page to see its level, task count, duration and goals. The pre-start briefing explains the evidence and response formats. You do not need to complete a long course first. Choose a subject you already know and allow time to work through the tasks.

## What happens when I select Start?

The server selects the task set and fixes the deadline for that attempt. Written responses, action ordering and decisions use the supplied evidence. Reloading, leaving the tab or changing your device clock does not extend the server deadline. At expiry, only saved drafts count.

## What do I see after completion?

Results include the recorded score, category breakdown and a completed answer review with model responses. That review helps you understand the assessment result; it is available through the private attempt flow rather than the public discovery pages.

## How do I unlock and share the document?

A completion certificate records your assessment and score. In the current beta, issuance requires a completed assessment and the short private assessment feedback; there is no minimum passing score. The owner can open the personal document and download the PDF. Share the separate public verification link when another person needs to check the record.

## Can I try again?

Retakes open 48 hours after you complete the same assessment. Daily start and active-attempt limits also apply. Existing older attempts keep their original policy; a new attempt uses the policy shown in its briefing.
